How good was that fight! Go Vic. I was backing him for the KO, but did not think he would be that dominant.

tell ya what Im really starting to love Vic's new found style and skill. Totally different fighter to 3 years ago.

what a dangerous fighter. Id say nearly all 115 fighters will fear entering the ring with the bull.

I actually see parallels between Vic and Kostya.

Both very accomplised amateurs who hit the pros ranks with exciting offensive capabilities.

Both seem to fall in love with their power and ended up getting stopped unexpectedly.

Kostya came back a smarter, more cautious and matured fighter. And pretty much built his legacy on his work after the Phillips fights.
Vic seems to have come back a lot smarter, defensively I havent seen him that good in ages. I often have to argue the point that Vic is a lot better defensively then people give him credit for, he has always been awkward and judges distance well.
But today, his head movement was sound, he was blocking and parrying punches which he doesnt usually do that often and his footwork & positioning were excellent.
Most importantly his greatest defensive asset he used beautifully which is his offense. He never gave Mijares to chance to work because he had him scared of that left hand, again the right came into play more and his combos were wicked.

People are going to say Mijares fought the wrong fight bla bla bla but he was forced to by the Raging Bull. Vic did exactly what he said he would in that fight.
