I knew that Jack Dempsey did a serial named DAREDEVIL JACK back in 1920 which has apparently been lost. I have to say, this is somewhat of a tragedy. This sounds like a very interesting effort, indeed, off the info I got on it at the IMDB. The director was W S Van Dyke, a top director who did the Johnny Weismuller Tarzan movies, as well as such big hits of the thirties as THE THIN MAN and SAN FRANCISCO. The writer was Jack Cunningham, who later wrote HIGH NOON. And the villian was played by none other than Lon Chaney. My! This serial would not only be of interest to boxing fans but to the general public. Maybe a copy will turn up someday.

It was supposedly pretty horrible. B movie fare at best, but yes Ive been interested in seeing it for a while. Gene Tunneys film would be interesting as well.
