Seen him box three times, I keep getting told he is special, I dont see that yet. He needs regular fights but more importantly needs to live the life, and have real focus for the sport. He could be interesting.
They stopped using him because he sat on the ropes, out of shape and hardly threw a punch at Tyson or Hughie. :deal
Talented kid, domestic level heavyweight but he comes to fight, problem with him is that he doesn't stay in shape and let's himself go. Carl Spencer is another good young heavyweight from the same town.

Some ridiculous posts. Dave Allen could be good if he is in shape and lives the life. But how many times do we say that about a boxer? so many talented fighters who "could be good" but dont think they have to work hard.
Ricky Hatton turned up in shape and ready to go in his fights. So you insult the name of Ricky Hatton by comparing Allen to him.
