only managed to see highlights of his fight with Porky. This guy looks phenomenal. Can't remember seeing combination punching like this since manny.
Anyone catch the whole fight? Did he show some vulnerabilities coming up in class?
Definitely keeping my eye on this kid

I watched the entire fight, he looked amazing, and fought like a seasoned pro, he did better than DeGale in every way possible, not just in the power department, the kid is a Beast!!!! with a capital B. And the terrifying thing is, he's only 20.:scared1

I think Degale and co at 168 are gonna avoid this guy like the plague. I think this win puts him mandatory for the wbc belt now.

Boxing insiders have known this kid is for real for awhile, so it's been tough for him to land bigger fights. I only hope they haven't burned him out by sparring him with heavy punchers too young (he was sparring Pavlik before he was old enough for a driver's license, and sparred GGG as a teen). Assuming they handled that responsibly, that's only going to be beneficial for him in the long run.

I strongly believe he's the future at 168.

I was impressed how well he shortened his punches on the inside

:lupie:Count me impressed. Good power, seemed to take a shot well, loads of charisma, was laughing while throwing punches at times. Will be watching for him. Also impressed by the first guy on the card, Lara. Ko's the guy with some impressive power punching. Saw a lot of guys on yesterdays cards punching with bad intentions. Good night for boxing

I've been looking everywhere for this fight. Nothing so far on the sites I download fights from which is odd because you can usually get pretty much most fights on them the same or following day. Nothing on YT or Dailymotion. I keep checking all these sites but nothing doing. It's annoying me.

As for Benavidez, he's a savage. I absolutely love his style. I loved it from the first time I laid eyes on him. Those body shots, hooks and uppercuts are nasty. I'd hate to fight someone like him lol

Yea he beat up Porky real bad. Shows you the difference in power vs Degale.

Not just in power, but the difference in general ability too. Medina gave DeGale a lot of problems and I thought the latter was lucky to get a UD. When you consider how long DeGale has been around for and the fact he's a former Olympic champion, thinking about how good Benavidez could be gets real scary. This time last week I was thinking the UK could put a stranglehold on the SMW division with Groves and Smith fighting for titles but I'd be really surprised if Benavidez doesn't mop the floor with the lot of them within 3 years. Fella looks the business.

Yeah he looked impressive, very good power. Although it is very strange how good he is at only 20. He is no where near his prime and i can only see his power, speed and strength increasing until he is around 30. At 6 ft 2 and 20 years old, i see him finishing his career at cruiser weight.

I don't think DeGale is that good. Thought he clearly lost to Jack. He isn't better than Froch was, in my opinion.
