David Diaz has got to be kicking himself for turning down the Marquez fight.

Lets be real here, David Diaz at this time in his career is nothing more than an opponent for contenders and top tier fighters, its a pity that nobody in his inner circle advised him to take the 250K Marquez was offering him as a tuneup for Pacquiao.

If you're a boxing fan, you've got to feel bad for him.

250k was diaz' final asking price from 350k and 300k that he initially proposed. jmm's side could only offer 150k from their initial 100k offer. where did you get your report divac?

I could be wrong, I remember reading that Marquez went up to 250k in his offer and Diaz wanted 350K.

These bouts in Mexico are usually low budget, so it could have been a 150K offer......in any regards, I'm sure Diaz got paid alot less tonight.

Based on what? He has beaten next to no one. If Morales wasn't so shopworn he would have knocked Diaz out. He has balls and experience and nothing else going for him.

Good fight, big ko for Lundy. Diaz has always been a solid but nothing special kind of fighter. He has a ton of heart but he's getting old now, I have no idea why he fought a guy like Lundy at this point. He probably got about 20,000 or so with Lundy and turned down around 150,000 for JMM. Bad decision making going on there.

I read he could have gotten 250 k for marquez ,turned it down and ended up fighting for 25k last night. pretty dumb decision, I like diaz he seems like a very nice guy and he should have been all over the offer marquez made him at this point in his career.

Damn, that would have been better for Marquez too. He likely wouldn't have flopped like Ramos did.

i have read articles already from 2 separate boxing sites and it was said that the final offer from marquez' camp was 150k from the initial offer of 100k. Diaz' camp made intially an offer of 350k, 300k and then 250k is their final asking price.

just google "david diaz juan marquez offer" and you could find these two articles on the list of returns. do you have other source that verifies yours and divac's claim that marquez actually offered 250k?
