I just caught up with the press conference today. I usually find them tedious, but I found today’s was quite interesting - mainly because of Higgins and the way he quite eloquently and factually broke down AJs perceived weaknesses. Some might say, these lines are usually rehearsed, but I genuinely think Joshua was rattled by them,to the extent that he had to jump in and go into great details that IVe never heard about with him being chucked out of the GB squad before the euros and being in a prison cell just before sparring Price and getting put down etc. Even after he said all that, Higgins calmly jumped straight back on topic and continued his attack/assessment in a very composed manor - I thought it was really good stuff. Higgins is also right about how over sensitive AJ has been about that little PR stunt they pulled with the knock downs- everybody panned it as amateur, but It did the trick.

Fast Eddie had to try to jump in and defend AJ and claim that “Higgins arse Went” but I don’t agree with that at all- Higgins had made his point- there was no need to carry on or start ranting or raving.

Haven't seen the press conference yet but on the Sky Sports News head to head with Eddie he was hilarious and Tbf did make valid points. I'm starting to like Higgins. Still can't forget his alcohol-fuelled shenanigans with Peter Fury but Higgins is alright. Done well for himself, a rank amateur but has his fighter's best interests at heart.

    Yep he had femi rattled.

Hearn is a snake, telling Higgins to say the things to femi's face.

Hearns comes across as the type that watches femi bang his GF while he watches in the corner praising him for it.

Nah. Higgins looked like a little boy up there. He lacked conviction and was shaking like a leaf. Parker was dull as dishwater and equally nervous. This is going to be a one-sided beatdown. AJ inside 8.

Higgins was shaking like a crack addict and Parker didn't look confident at all, the only one who came across well was the trainer.

I really hope Parker KO's Femi just to see Hearn's Cuck face as it happens.

    I'm starting to like Higgins.
He's unpolished and hilarious with his straight-faced "David Brent"-esque comments.

Boxing needs more people like him.

He's actually been very instrumental in getting this fight on. Despite what Joshua and Hearn say, they would have given us something like AJ v Jarrell Miller if team Parker hadn't pushed this thing.

Here's one of the SKY/Matchroom house lackeys calling Higgins a village idiot.

No I don't either. Hearn wanted him to repeat what he had said on social media to Joshuas face, didn't like that tbf..Like a promoter should be worried about getting intimidated lol...He came across well explained to me Higgins. AJ was rattled. I wouldn't be surprised if behind the scenes AJ has Hearn watching his mouth, or worried about upsetting him. Hearn was basically projecting his own insecurities on to Higgins but it just wasn't there !

As I commented elsewhere, it's interesting how fragile Joshua's EGO is, or how fragile Hearn believes it is, that he felt he needed to try to intimidate Higgins like that to defend Joshua's reputation as a fighter.
It's not as if anyone takes Higgins seriously as a fight expert.

If Hearn hadn't gone like that, I'd think nothing much of it. But it Hearn made it look like Joshua's been really annoyed by all the "chin" talk, and the "mentally weak" talk.

David Higgins was impressive!!?? He looked like he had won a competition to sit up there. Nervous as hell, no conviction in his own words and if anything he said bothers Joshua at all then AJ may as well hang them up now.

It was cringe-worthy when Hearn pulled him up on his inconsistencies purely because Higgins had already clearly shown how much out of his depth he is. You've got to have a serious chip on your shoulder about Anthony Joshua to think otherwise..
