Assuming he gets past Skelton of course. Price is even getting attention from the Americans, and he's probably one or two wins away from being in position for a title shot. Personally I think Price should really try and get a Vitali fight. Vitali is faded, and very sluggish these days, as well as his power fading, it would be interesting to see this matchup as Price really outmatches vitali in size, speed and power, you'd give vitali experience and toughness (based on price being unproven) this potential fight almost reminds me of Lewis/Vitali, especially with Price being the bigger guy. If price could stop vitali, that'd just be a huge statement,
Aestetically he looks to be the bigger puncher (Vitali's power has always been massively overrated) but until Price sparks someone with a pulse I wouldn't say it's a guarantee. Interesting fight but I'd rather see the heavyweight prospects move themselves towards a fight with the world champ'. If Price beats Vitali he could be in that position. I hope Wlad's reign becomes a bit like Larry Holmes' now, with a fair few undefeated and relatively untested prospects making the jump up to championship level and giving him a good go. Price, Fury, Pulev look solid fighters. Can't see Vitali taking on Price though. He's winding down now.
Price would be a high risk, low reward type fight for Vitali IMO. Price should do what Frank has planned for him, he needs to 'win a world title and be able to keep it'.
I never thought about this one before Would be a great fight, but as Flea said I can't see Vitali taking it. If Price is what he seems to be this would be a horrible night for the current version of Vitali.
Skelton at his best would have been a decent test for Pricey, but at this stage, more flatfooted and easier to hit than before, I don't think he can get past the 1-2 and will be laid out inside a couple of rounds. Realistically there's nobody out there that you can put him in with to test him, without thinking he could come acropper.... it's probably a necessary evil to get him where we'd all want him to go.
I think Dimitrenko is a safe bet Chambers and Pulev both went late with him recently, if Price brutalised him in a couple of rounds (quite possible) I think we know he's above the rest of the pack
Price brings little money but lots of risk to aging Vitali. Won't happen until Price commands a big UK viewership and brings money to the table for greedy K2 to become interested.

Well if Sosnowski can go a few rounds I'd assume Price could, and have the chance to be more effective in implementing his gameplan. If Vitali stops Price then the scouser has a truly horrid chin.
I was going to say, you had that travesty, Briggs being punched in the face approximately 7000 times, Charr not really being hurt, Chisora going 12 etc I just don't think Vitali is much of a puncher at all these days unless you stand in front of him round after round or are tiny like Adamek
I agree. The problem with both of the Klitschkos is that they fight with one foot in front creating space and just jab away. How do you counter that as a smaller fighter? Price is decent and tall enough for this tactic to be nullified but I do question his chin.
It is frustrating as both Fury and Price seem to be ready, but unless they get a Pulev/Helenius type fight in 2013 they are still contenders/domestic champs. I feel for Fury with Boytsov, but if they duel in Feb as planned then that is the right direction. Price needs to step it up quick.
