    Great interview with Tris Dixon.

I knew he had confidence issues, i always thought it was because of his chin and the thompson fight but he has suffered with it all his amateur career too. Very fragile, talks of his regrets for the thompson rematch.

    Great listen

I have to give that a listen. I have not listened to anything from him since the Leon McKenzie one, I was relying on youtube but I see he has not put his last 3 interviews on there.

Price always looked slightly wobbly. But to be fair so did Wladimir Klitschko and he went 10 years undefeated as undisputed HW champion once he cameback from his 3rd loss against Brewster. Everyone wrote him off after Brewster but he proved everyone wrong.

Price was never able to mount the same comeback after his second Tony Thompson loss. If affected him deeply, and he just wasnt the same animal even in fights where he was well on top. The early knockouts were gone, and anyone who was able to take him beyond the 5th or 6th round was in with a shout.

Interesting will check it out. That Thompson rematch was so foolhardy.

He actually says the main reason at first was thompson potentially going to fight Wilder so he didnt want the comparisons if Wilder was to KO him.

An honest and great listen. He's not wrong that it's small margins at the higher levels. Always great value for money and would love for him to come back.

Refreshing how honest Price was about his vulnerability and level. He's probably a bit too nice to be honest, really classy guy.

Don’t forget, Thompson was down and if I remember right barely got up in the rematch. Small margins indeed.

I’ve followed Price since he was amateur and it’s so frustrating as a fan the way his career has panned out. From dropping drug cheat Thompson in the rematch, caught cold by **** drug cheat Teper, dropping Hammer, Foster saving Povetkin but then allowing him to take a running punch on an out on feet David, taking a fight against his mate Dereck on short notice. When two mates fight and one is too nice he will always lose. Even COVID was against him as he was promised another fight by Ed if he lost for taking the Chisora fight at short notice.

Would love for something decent to happen for him before he retires but I doubt it.

Ali? People said Price was in trouble that night, and yes he was struggling but he was about to take his head off and that’s why he rugby tackles him and bit him.

Nobody deserved anything out of that fight, it was a joke, rolling around on the canvas with a doorman when he was being talked about as a future World Champion 5 years or so before then. The bite put us all out of our misery.
