Walker-Eggington has the potential to be a cracker, and is exactly the kind of fight Hearn should be putting on more often.

How on earth can you judge that as either exciting or crap? There's a grand total of one named fight on that list.

Dunno really, I didn’t even know Eggington was still going, thought he’d finished a couple of years ago!

    That is basically my point

It is like Warren 5-6 years ago announcing the main fighter with no opponent

I'm all for that fight, should be an all action shootout with those two.

I'm away at another sporting event that weekend otherwise that is one i would really want to watch live.

Jared Anderson has signed to QP.

Interesting, as he would have been one I thought Zuffa would have got

Fair point, he said he would be on the Wardley undercard. So Anderson vs Itauma as chief support?

Strange point mate. Hearn was giving a quick preview of upcoming shows in an interview with a Youtuber.

That's miles away from a press conference announcing a venue, date and selling tickets with nothing more than "Big Name vs TBA".

Happy to agree with you if that's what Matchroom end up doing. Until that happens I can't see how you can judge the schedule.

Pretty shocked at the result, but it sounds like he gave away the early rounds – not watched it yet. Probably for the best though, might’ve saved him from another knockout defeat, especially if Cacace was going to be next.

He likely stayed amateur too long, and the Wood KO was a concussive ending to a brutal fight. I can still see him having another go though, he won’t want to go out on a loss – maybe even a rematch if it’s as controversial as people are making out, (Pablo Sauerland certainly is).

I thought Conlan won but it was an appalling fight.

    Neither fighter deserved to win.

Just glad they arent chasing the rematch, no one wants to watch that again

I switched off at round 4. Worst fight I’ve seen (part of) for a long time, and that’s saying something.

Yeah 100%. I’ve just watched it now, but I was basically skimming through it in the background. There was zero urgency from Conlan, barely anything thrown in the first couple of rounds, and you’ve got 3–4 swing rounds you could give either way. Over 10 that’s a massive risk.

He also looks gunshy and vulnerable any time he gets touched, and at times he still slips into that pity-pat amateur, computer-scoring style like Frankie Gavin. Over 12 he likely grinds it out, but I don’t think they trust he’s got the legs anymore after Wood, so it’s probably best to call it a day. Still think chasing Rio and not turning over straight after London 2012 cost him a world title, especially at super-bantam, considering how close he came against Wood.
