Are there any Heavyweights who are defensively minded, counterpunchers in a sense of Floyd Mayweather, Whitaker, Willi Pep type fighters? I guess there arent too many. Im speaking of a great "D" to slip punches, pick punches. Time the opponent. No good chins or high guards. Defensive wizards. Byrd comes to mind. Toney, Haye.
Absolutely he is. He also has a great D in mid-range. Blocks punches with his arms, by swinging, which requires great hand-eye coordination and reflexes.
