Degale clearly had nothing left, came to spoil and run, with the benediction of the ref. Eubank looked rather pedestrian, and labored for his win. Not exactly an impressive victory.
This fight was awful to watch. One lazy, inaccurate punch from Degale, then hug. repeat, repeat, repeat. Eubank can't cut off a ring to save his life, but most of the blame goes to Degale for this ugly grappling match.
I remember Dwyer claiming in a video that Degale had plenty left and made the right decision in relinquishing his belt. For some reason he always had a hard on for him. Now it's well and truly over. Contrary to Groves, he never hurt Eubank and fought like a sissy.

This was his retirement fund fight, can't blame him really, boxing is a tough career and if there's the chance to have one last big payday before quitting then it's a no brainer.
