Just reading Degale's comments that he wont accept a 50/50 split to fight Groves, I get the feeling this fight is going to be very difficult to get made as Groves wil feel he deserves a fair share of the purse and I agree with him, while Degale's name may carry more weight in the US, in the UK one could argue Groves is the bigger name. 50/50 Split or 55/45 in favour of Groves is fair IMO. What do you guys feel would be a reasonable purse split?

You can make an argument for either guy deserving the bigger split. In reality it should be 50/50 imo
Yeah I listened to that podcast also but I believe he was discussing the negotiations he had with Degale prior to the Chudinov fight. Now Groves brings his own world title to the table he will surely want a higher split of the purse.
I think 50/50 is the best that Degale can hope. 50/50 is fair for both fighters imo. If he rejects that, I can't see this fight happening.
Badou Jack schooled the pair of them and both of them should grow some balls and fight him again instead of arguing over a purse... obviously neither will fight Jack ever again
If Degale refuses to fight GG for 50/50 or 55/45 in DeGales favour it is basically a duck. There are much bigger fights for GG out there anyways. I think vs Eubank jr could be a massive fight and generate much more '£'.
now you come to mention it yes i do...;-) it hardly seems fair that some divisions have so many good fighters in and some are really mediocre such as 168lb
this whole 'massive domestic ppv ££££££sss' is getting way out of hand imo.....GG has just got his hands on title at 4th attempt in dubious circumstances and CEj has got a nothing title and got beat by BJS already.....why should this fight generate a load of cash??...Hearn has worked wonders for these boxers they are both lucky the 168lb division is in doldrums and id take degale over both...

You need to get the bee out of your bonnet that it was a bad stoppage or anything was 'dubious' about GG win. There absolutely was not. If 999 people say the sky is blue and you're the only one saying it is green, then maybe you just have to accept your view is wrong, as you basically will just come across as a nut job if you keep on arguing.
james will want an Unrealistic split (my guess 60:40) no idea why as Groves has already beat him and has a bigger profile in U.K. For me if James doesn't accept 50/50 he's ducking GG. Eubank can put him self right in the mix if he can beat Autthur Abraham, he won't be getting 50/50 off either GG or James with the IBO title. For me George would stop James now. James hasn't looked good for sometime now (just my opinion). Groves from Jack onwards beats him! For the record both GG and James would fight Jack again at 168. Both fights were very close and could of argued either way.
50/50 is fair. From Groves point of view he's beat Degale twice so why does he have to chase the fight and concede a bigger split? Degale hasn't looked too good in his last few fights and is coming of a draw while Groves now has a world title.

Groves winning belt was dubious in MY opinion ,i really enjoyed the fight but the other kid was far from finished and after all his whining about Froch stopping him it seemed hypocritical . As for splits regarding a purse ,the only time id be interested is if it is a winner takes all fight
