imo they have a lot in common, both are high paced fighters, throw awkward shots, a bit of a slappy style, but it seems to be effective, degale spends a lot of time southpaw to. Thing is its a hard act to follow, will he catch froch on his way down, and make a world statement in a couple of years, groves has gone noticably quiet since degale bt smith, and to be fair he dident perform as good as degale and showed a vulnerable side, wich will be a letdown at some stage. Theres brian mcgee, and the ideal foil is arthur abraham as his style would suit degale to the ground, CAN he be the new calzaghie?:think:good

Least this is a better comparing him to Gerald McClellan.

DeGale punches like Calzaghe when he has man backed up and also is southpaw but other then that nah...not the similar IMO and i don't see DeGale as a high paced fighter. Calzaghe was very much a volume fighter and his amazing engine helped him throw a large amount. DeGale picks his shots more and likes to keep things at range.

i was thinking the other day is warren biggin' up froch so much coz hes kining him for degale. degale imo has the style to give froch alot of problems.

not to sure if degale is a high paced fighter in the way calzaghe was either

    Sorry, don't see the comparison.

    More similar than G-Man though.
