Nothing like McClellan, Harris took zero punishment, McClellan went through hell. I've never seen a fighter with a suspected brain injury being treated with a bag of ice before. If anyone thought this was serious he would be on the way to the hospital not chilling out holding an ice bag to his own head.

You are absolutely correct. He would be required to go to the hospital it wouldn't be optional. I'm shocked he wasn't forced to.

    Agreed.

I can see why Hopkins might have preferred that fight though. Easier opponent, picking up a cruiser strap looks good. Adamek is more of a crowd puller.

He's gonna be brought to it now, hopefully there's nothing wrong with him and it was just a regular case of being knocked out.

The McClellan injury was exacerbated by head butts. The way Harris went down and wasn't responding for minutes is chilling to anyone but the most pathetic. You never know with head injuries.

Why be an ******* and make light of a potential injury to a fighter.

This kind of crap card keeps boxing in the ghetto of mainstream sports. Hopefully the Cloud/Woods and Urango/Bailey card will begin to make up for this but this is an all time horrible card. Makes me think of the Pacquiao/De la Hoya undercard but at least we got a virtuoso performance out of that. Let us never speak of this card again.

If that was the main card what is the walkout bout going to be? People from the crowd?

btw Atlas is unbearable and I hope he has great success with Povetkin and doesn't come back to FNF.

His safety is everyone's greatest concern, it just seems to me that he wasn't that injured. The doctor thinks otherwise and his judgement is 1000 times better then mine.

Sad to be treated to those two quitters recently then this crappy card.

Does Doug Loughrey do anything at ESPN besides pull the strings on the boxing program? He needs to go, he's let the program down. I can't believe the best I can hope for is that FNF comes back next year. The season finale card is the equivalent of trying to steal a round in the last 10 seconds. Peace all!

I hope Harris is OK. I always panic a bit when guys go out like that. Vivian should consider retirement. His career making any real money is finished.

Horrific card overall. ESPN simply has to do better than this. I'd rather just have a Q&A with Rafael and other pundits than watch the slew of mismatches thrown our way. (Maybe not, but you get the point.)

I'm excited about Woods/Cloud, and hopefully it will compensate for this.

Their budget is ****. Gotta buy some new lights for NFL Primetime, you know. Sadly, the ratings of that show crush boxing. ESPN knows what it's doing. :verysad

FNF declined badly when they stopped paying 50k per show towards the purses. They began relying on outside promoters who often can't put together good enough quality cards without network money contributing.

This was several years ago. FNF must pull down decent enough ratings for ESPN to keep it on the air and still not contribute towards getting better quality fights. Shame, though.
