I stopped reading at Quillen wants him. Quillin doesn't even want Korobov. Quillin wants a nice steady diet of carefully selected opponents that do not include Golovkin. The only two people that actually want to fight him are Lara and Ward. That's it. No one else. Lara because he is loco and believes in himself, Ward because he knows he has the best chance of beating Golovkin. Everyone else is talking hypotheticals, dropping lines like "for very big money" or "in a few years".
That's how fights get made. Instead of GGG sitting in the 15th row at a Cotto fight, he needs to have his promoter throw significantly more money at Cotto than he could make fighting Canelo. Otherwise, they should STFU. GGG and Kovalev are both locked into the HBO "midcard" -- the network would rather pay each a million or so per fight to face so-so competition (hyped up as much as possible, of course) while creating the illusion that everyone is ducking ... but HBO and the promoters won't put up the big money to find out if anyone is ducking. Neither is, at this point, PPV material unless they are the B side. And HBO has been in this business long enough to not invest multiple millions in B-side guys. That's not to say that neither is great or dominant or whatever, just that they aren't upper-tier attractions and their backers (promoters/network) aren't going to dig into the coffers to attract PPV-level opponents to try to make them A-side guys.
Another sheep happy with the status quo in a dirty sport that caters to N American fighters and Pac! You hide behind boxing economics and spindoctor appeal to suit your agenda when in fact fighters like Kovalev and Golovkin are keeping the sport alive and their fighting prowess and growing popularity threatens you.
the interview with cotto at end of the geale fight told the world exactly how he feels about fighting golovkin , his stuttering response to the question was cringe worthy and showed the world he has no interest in fighting him , if the great warrior cotto wont fight him it kind of says it all doesnt it .
