That this is even close shows the idiocy of this forum, who all missed the first name of the Ward mentioned in this ridiculous fantasy matchup.
Well first of all as a massive GGG fan I've always been of the opinion that when Ward and Golovkin was being talked about I thought that at the time that fight suited Ward more than Golovkin because Ward had been so inactive and it made sense for Ward to beat Golovkin and get his name back out there with a bang whereas for Golovkin who has been collecting belts at 160 had so much more to lose at the time and for whatever reason it never got made. Right now that that's out of the way I think Ward would have a lot of success against GGG but I do believe Golovkin would do better than Kovalev at cutting the ring off as that's his thing and as good as Ward is GGG doesn't gas out and I could see him landing hard shots with both hands,I've rewatched the fight and after the knock down Kovalev didn't do enough with his power punches both right and left hand,Kovalev thought he could do the same thing as he did in round one and two and that he'd have more success but Ward had worked him out somewhat. GGG has a granite chin and can walk through anything Ward can throw but I'm assuming GGG wins in a match where both come to box,Ward as he did with SK basically just throws left jabs and then wrestles,it's boring as hell but it scores him rounds so after all that I'm not sure how GGG would fare in the wrestling stakes as Ward is so strong and does get off body shots in the clinch and even when the ref is separating em he so fast he scores again,I do believe though that GGG would catch Ward at some point so I am going with GGG but I wouldn't put money on it lol.

Listen I don't like the stuff his trainer keeps coming out with and he his hyped by HBO no doubt but come on Hatesrats you don't win so many amateur fights against quality like Bute and never gotten hurt once without being good,granted he doesn't have the silky skills of Ward but he has his own method,his balance,footwork,his machine like jab and crazy power has made him the most avoided guy alongside Rigondeux. The guy spars with cruiser weights,you're not a fan I get that but to call him a hype is off the mark.
