canelo is very good. can he build a case for elitedom, is the question that will pan out over the next few fights. as it will for 3g.
Sure, Alvarez is overhyped and overpaid, but he is good. So's Amir Khan. They just aren't as good as they were said to be.
It is through no fault of his own that he hasn't fought an elite name, he is one of the most avoided fighters in boxing history. In fact i do consider jacobs an elite fighter, he's comfortably the second best middleweight in the world and had every advantage in his favour that night...
Been saying of for years-Canelo sells tickets that's why he's hyped. Nothing more. They wanted him to carry on like Chavez sr. But he isn't in Chavez's league-not even close. Mayweather DOMINATED Canelo. And he was slightly pass his prime when he did it. And yet Canelo gets a free pass. Lara beat him just didn't get the decision. Trout gave him fits. As did Cotto. He simply isn't as skilled as they make him out to be-doesnt hit too hard and isn't that quick.
