There's no such requirement on being "elite'. All it takes to be considered "elite" is success over the other top guys.

Regardless of age, he wouldn't of forgotten how to cut off a ring against a guy who wouldn't even win a British title....

In the sport of boxing or any other we have athletes with a wide variety of skill-sets. An example of a hockey goalie would be Ryan Miller. Many would call him elite during his prime for his achievements, which included an MVP award, Olympic medal, very respectable GAA, number of games played, wins, etc. However, he was very similar to say a Roy Jones who relied far more on reflexes and unorthodox technique than traditional movements and stances.

Canelo is just good.. Hes not great.. At least not yet.. Hes a really good fighter though.. Even if he pulls it off against GGG I still think he waited too much to take the fight.. And if he loses youre right.. Maybe its just time to admit hes just like.. Oscar light.. lol

those analogies have nothing to do with boxing. You can create your own criteria as to what constitutes elite, but that's all it is, your personal criteria. Success at the top level is what makes one in to the 'elite' category

Now you are just being ridiculous and childish. I already stated what makes a fighter elite, overall success ar the top level. If you have a problem with that, that's on you kiddo.

    B.E. is always trolling

In regards to Caneo being "not that good", well it's all relative. If you mean "not that good" relative to his popularity and talk of him being "the next great Mexican fighter", then yeah, I agree. He's not on the same level, as say, the recent big trio of Mexican greats like MAB, JMM, and Morales. I don't think he ends up being some ATG like some have predicted.

But if you mean "not that good" like he isn't a world class fighter, or some mediocre titlist, then no. He's a good fighter with a solid skillset.

He definitely improved up to 2015. Since the Cotto fight, it's hard to say if he's improved, based on the opposition level.

El Pollo has a rematch clause, plus he owns the referee, judges, boxing commission, Bob Bennett, he gets 70% of the money, he can weight as much as he wants fight night, Golovkin can't, Golovkin was not allowed to have a rematch clause either................Oscar is planning on cheating Golovkin................Vegas is corrupt! Forgot, El Pollo does not have to take a drug test, but Golovkin does.......

Snowflake? Is that what you've resorted to? Using an insult Trump supporters love? Guess that's not a surprise. You seem stupid like trumpers.

But give it a rest child, you can live with your criteria, no one cares. And no one has EVER said one must be technically superb to be considered elite. That's just some crap you concocted.
