De Kerpel and Coopman are national celebrities who 2-3 times a year get invited for popular tv shows in my country.
De Kerpel is a former European title Challenger with Charisma and a ladies man who comes over very well on tv.
Coopman i know personally, bought 2 paintings from him at an exposition in Mariakerke near the sea 13 years ago and since then we have become friends. He is the most famous boxer from Belgium because he fought Ali.
Half the country was awake at night and sat in front of the tv or listened to the radio when he fought for the world title.

The best fighters we ever had are Cyrille Delannoit and Jean Sneyers.
    They are complete opposites.

Delannoit was a whirlwind with a relentless body attack like a poor Henry Armstrong and defeated a prime Cerdan in Brussels to become Euro King.
Unfortunately alcohol and drugs led to his downfall early.

Sneyers was a class act and ring technician like a poor Willy Pep and became a European Champion in 3 weight classes.
Never had his chance at a world title because of politics.
Became a successfull business man after his career.

    Talking about Persoons.
So far she has never got a lot of recognition because boxing is a niche sport in my country.
Our best boxers fought in the fifties when Elvis Presley wasn't even in his prime.
She is a heck of a fighter though and i really hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

Flawless in her 2015 campaign so far, 2-0 (2) in Muthoni & Boss II - TKO8 and TKO9 respectively, and never lost a round. 8)

Persoon vs. Boss II highlights (interspersed with some post-fight interviews):

Actually not a great performance, going by the clips shown.

Delfine looked a bit slower on trigger and just more generally sluggish than usual, and was getting hit a lot, kind of asleep on the job defensively. (as you could tell by her face afterwards, bruises & marks all over it)

She kind of just relied on sheer power and willpower to force the W, with very little of her normal sharpness.

Just one look is all it takes. Rousey would be down for the count:yikes:scaredas:...they'd need smelling salts to revive her.

    Nah. Let her rest.

...and just leave her alone in the dressing room with good old uncle IB. We're fine in here, check back in half an hour.

    Oh, and leave the Vaseline.

    And the endswell. :hey

Next defense is against 9-0 (8 KO's) European champion Maiva "El Veneno" Hamadouche.

She appears to be a real two-fisted puncher (and dishes it out evenly to body and head), though her approach is pretty basic and her feet and hands aren't exceptionally fast. Her last match was an early stoppage but she had started wrecking the poor girl and you can sort of see why the ref jumped in when he did with the way her neck was snapping around:
    [yt]Ayj6Gqq1txE[/yt]

Hamadouche actually has stopped every opponent she ever faced (the one that lasted the distance with her did so in a rematch, after having been retired in 5...a round nobody else has reached w/ Hamadouche)

El Veneno was very nearly the amateur champion of France in her weight class but lost a close one to Estelle Mossely, who still hasn't turned pro and just recently fought on competitive terms with female amateur p4p #1 Katie Taylor in the gold match at the inaugural European championships in Baku this summer.

If nothing else her power and relentless attacking style makes her formidable, but I'm guessing Persoon's experience and sharpness will see her taking a comfortable decision.
