At best, Shavers gets lucky with an early knockDOWN, but thats where it stops

 

Janitor, how many oponents of Jack Dempsey's would you rate as being on par with the quality Joe Frazier faught?? Dempsey was dangerous for a few rounds... Frazier was still tearing you apart in the 15th.

Technique?? I guess all footage of Depsey that I have, including many rounds of sparring are misleading. FFS.. Tunney picked Dempsey to pieces with single, double and triple left jabs, keeping him safely at arms reach.

 

Oh Janitor... Frazier would not have destroyed Willard?? Given every possible advantage that Dempsey was fortuned with, I'd suggest the fight would have ended in Willard death.. approx 2.45 seconds of the opening bell.

Let's try Firpo.. as technically as sound as Bonevena?? Go on, I need a laugh.

 

Shavers could quite easily knock out Dempsey early,which is what he would be encouraged to do. Otherwise,if he blows his bolt,Dempsey would catch Earnie.

 

Lets start by dealing with the real world shall we?

When did Frazier ever destroy a world class heavyweight in the first three rounds?

He didn't.

When did Frazier destroy a world class fighter over 220lbs in the first half of the fight?

Again, he didn't.

There is nothing on his record to suggest that he would have been effective against a fighter the size and durability of Willard.

 

I see common sense prevails again... PPPPFFFFFTTT!!

 

Dempsey was KO'd by the inferior Flynn and actually tried to walk down Firpo to exchange punches getting knocked out of the ring. In the Firpo fight Firpo managed to land his right time and again and Shavers right hand is much better. Shavers hits much harder than both so if Dempsey try's to brawl too recklessly ofcourse he could be KO'd by 1 of the biggest punchers and most dangerous early round fighters in history. Dempsey too can KO Shavers who didn't have the greatest chin himself and wasn't as equiped to fight at close range as Dempsey was.

Prediction: Someone's getting knocked out
