    Retire In Peace.

That was a sad, old man type of performance from Wilder today. He was slow with his hands, lacked aggression and couldn't pull the trigger at all. He probably only threw five or six punches the whole night that even had the potential to do damage to the New Zealander. He looked nothing like the guy who went to war with Tyson Fury.

Parker is a nice guy and a quality heavyweight but he did not do anything special.

Is that the case though? Or was it that Parker and his gameplan was causing issues for Wilder and preventing him doing anything effective? We saw similar against Ortiz (an inferior fighter to Parker). Deontay has been an incredibly fascinating and enigmatic fighter to watch over the years - but whenever we see him taken out of his comfort zone he struggles.
He may be washed - but it also may be as a result of not having been tested enough when he was developing. I tend to think Team Parker just had his number tonight and executed it very well without getting distracted.

    Actually Wilder was quick today...

It just easier to hit fat big Fury I guess than Parker.

Wilder always look like that. Difference is just he catch his victim and this time not happend.

    That's why he lost

He changed his nickname from Bronze Bomber to Dr.Sleep

All of his spiritual energy has gone.

Here we go with the excuses.

He looks exactly as he always have look. He just fought his real first opponent outside of Fury and magically he gets beat again.

Nah. Wilder wasn't even "wild" tonight. He hardly swung with bad intentions (only bad timing) the entire fight.

    He's done. Finished. Kaput.

Not to be argumentative in any way but I am curious, what game plan did you see Parker use tonight?

I really think there’s a lot of truth to that.

Probably if there would be Hellenius he would have next great 1 round win...

For me he look quiet normal. I expected him looking worse.

Keeping Wilder on the back foot. Lots of foot feints. Consistent head and upper body movement whilst cutting off the ring. Making no secret of the fact that he is looking for the overhand right, to make Deontay keep his jab and right hand at home. Seems simple once the fight is in the history books, but it was damn effective.
Wilder is a monster when allowed to either come forward or take center ring. Also - they didn’t get greedy when he was on the ropes. He was trying to lure them in - seems like something he learned from Malik Scott. Team Parker clocked that way ahead of the fight.
It was a really solid game plan.
