oscar de la hoya had a great jab,it was fast accurate and it had enough power to snap power to snap a boxers head back when it landed

 

Vlad Klitschko has one of the best I have seen at heavyweight, Pinklon Thomas had a strong and accurate jab, It was Holmes best weapon, Ali had a rapid fire. Wille Pep

had the best jabs in general, rather than an evaluation of jabs strictly

I'm not sure a devastating jab is as good as weapon as many think it is. I think a much more multi-dimensional and cultured jab is better than a heavy ramrod like jab. A jab to me is a tool for measuring, probing and creating openings for bigger punches. The jab is not meant to be a weapon IMO, as you can get much more power in a different punch that can be set up by the jab.

Although a hard jab can be of benefit sometime, when used occasionally, it has to be multi-dimensioned and used as more of a swiss army knife, than a 12" machete.

 

I agree that having a multi-dimensional jab is better but not about the jab not being meant to be a weapon. I think it's a terrific risk/reward weapon that does plenty of damage over time if you let it.

 

I think the process of giving up the jab as a tool and making it a weapon loses a fighter a lot of avenues that do not make up for the benefit of maybe causing some damage to your opponent.

 

On a side note, I did make a confession to a priest today. I said "My heart is heavy, Father. I agreed with MRBILL about a Klitschko." and the priest said "Ah, I understand your dilemma, my son. Bill is a real hugger." ...I was stunned. "You post on ESB, Father?" I asked. "Yes, my son. ...You can find me under the name "frankenfrank"." ...Overall, it's been a very odd day.

 

This,his is the best I've ever seen from a heavyweight,even better than Holmes,Ali,and Liston,even Ali admited the Greg's jab was better than his.Overall i would have to say Hearns he can control you and slice you up pickel chips literal punish you and beat your eye out as Ray Leonard,the 1st teer Followed by Paige,Holmes,Arguello,Ali,Moorer and then the rest Liston,Sturm,Mark Breland,Hagler,Roger Mayweather,Carl Williams,Tyrell Biggs,SRR,SRL, Pinklin Thomas,ODH,Howard Davis Jr,Nunn.
