Daley was a pretty decent favourite last night on every MMA forum, and Diaz's only dubbed chance was to sub him. That statment alone is what thinks Diaz can't be overlooked against GSP, although GSP has a nack for winning boring fights with just great strategy. I think it'd be the best opponant for GSP, obviously with GSP being a big favourite.
I would love to see this but gsp will win. diaz won't be able to defend gsp's takedown and gsp would win via decision. i would love to see diaz vs alves or diaz vs condit next.
yep style wise they are perfect for each other. Both are pretty good striker and have good bjj. Height wise they are about even and both have attitudes. Dana white make this match happen.

You must be referring to when Serra blasted him behind the ear with a winging haymaker and threw off his equillibrium atsch Don't be ignorant. If you are a fighter, have fought, have spoken to any fighters or even just have common sense you would know that people with solid chins, who get caught in that spot can get dropped. Now I'm not saying GSP has an iron chin, I'm just saying that based on that one Serra fight we cannot say he doesn't. We need further evidence for that claim brotha!
My boy nick diaz, for sure trains like a beast!!!!!!! 1) BJJ is in favor of nick who has gsp ever subbed worth mentioning he couldnt even sub dan hardy 2) Nick has amazing cardio he conditions himself by doing triathlons, gsp has a good gas tank however thats because he normally lands too many strikes to his opponents who arent good at striking and gasses them out, thiago alves was gsp's best striker and gsp just laid and prayed on him and plus what happened when gsp vs matt serra. 3) Nick hits harder than gsp in my opinion in ufc 124 gsp gave josh koschecka bad eye but imagine if nick was the one throwing not gsp. 4) Gsp has better wrestling than nick but nick's jujitsu i think will be able to handle gsp's riddum.
Well, when I make a statement about a future fight, I don't feel the need to put "in my humble opinion..." in front of each sentence. It's a given such statements are opinions.
I don't think I'd bet the house on Diaz - But winning a round against GSP is not impossible, Diaz has too much skill, a southpaw stance, a great chin and recuparative powers along with insane conditioning to be another GSP dominated opponent. I would love to see it happen.
Diaz will never be this good. Unless he doesn't spark GSP, he would get taken down everytime GSP did get clipped. That is if he manage to clip him before taking a **** load of kicks.
Yes, but unlike Koscheck, Fitch or Hardy - Diaz has the BJJ skill to be very dangerous off of his back. GSP would be more inclined to keep the fight standing strategically, as he is a highly risk adverse fighter these days. Diaz has shown an ability to absorb big leg kicks too... Not trying to sway anyones opinion here, but to simply write Diaz off as a whitewash for GSP is kinda underrating Diaz and overrating GSP just a tad.
