Whyte vs Pulev...that’s a fight i’m looking forward to seeing.

 

A year or two ago I would have said he’s probably the most underrated heavyweight out there (Pulev). But he hasn’t done himself any favours recently. It’s a good fight for Whyte and one I hope he wins.

 

I agree. I know he’s had an injury but he’s just not been active enough. I’d love Whyte to do a number on him, which he has a chance of doing if he can be more mobile & busy.

 

Tell his promoter to sort it out and stop talking about other fights...it gives Wilder a clear out when he's talking about anyone and everyone that will make him a quick buck...Hearn needs to get on to the WBC.

It's not going to make him millions but it'll easily headline the o2 and I'd expect it to sell more than the fight with Browne...what was he paid for that?

I expect he'd beat Povetkin and then he's in line for a huge Joshua payday, but he'll lose again...

Maybe I'm being harsh, I'm not a hater it's just frustrating that he's mandatory for the WBC but rather than fighting tooth and nail for the shot he has earned, he's looking elsewhere...unless Hearn is to blame for prioritising Wilder vs Joshua and he is just towing the party line...

Anyway - seems him vs Pulev is being mandated by the IBF as a final eliminator...don't know why he'd take that fight...personally I think he loses plus it puts him in no better a position than he is in now...

This guy has given an excellent detailed breakdown of Whyte's performance against Browne and he shows Whyte did some really intelligent stuff in that fight which created the eventual K.O.

It definitely shows the influence of Mark Tibbs and shows Whyte as a far better technical fighter than many give him credit for.

If he can maintain his progress he can win a world title IMO.

 

Agree with this although Browne was so awful it's hard to make a proper assessment. Most able heavyweights would have entered exhibition mode against that slow lumbering target.

 

Whyte certainly gave a career performance vs Browne. Will need another one to beat Pulev.
