I think its more to do with the heart he showed dealing with that. You and I both know a LOT of fighters who would of quit on their stools rather then carry on with the fight. He showed a champions heart that night I no your not the kings biggest fan but surely you must be able to appreciate that

Without a lot of help from the referee and the ringside doctor Abraham would not have lasted the distance. In the end he got a dodgy win. If that fight had been in Vegas or AC, the result would have been Miranda TKO4 Abraham. Arthur does deserve some credit for hanging in there, but Sauerland deseverve more for creating the Abraham mythology.

couldn't have said it better myself..

Froch couldn't find dirrell because he is somewhat of a plodding brawler ... AA is much more of a tactician and is very good at finding the fight range to land his power shots... Dirrell will dance around and try to pot shot, and AA may give up some rounds.. but imo, AA wins easily in this one

sucks for dirrel going down 0-2 in the tourney too, he definitely got robbed in round 1 ,

I argued on the school bus that the young upstart Cassius Clay would beat Sonny Liston. That's all I'm gonna say about age:yep

Just because you don't have a clue what was happening in there.

The whole tournament is really just a series of elimination bouts that will ultimately decide who has the right to fght the Pavlik/Bute winner. If Arthur wins, perhaps Sauerland will grow some balls and actually allow a Pavlik/Abraham fight to take place. So far Sauerland hasn't provided any reason to beleive that will ever happen.

I´m an AA fan, but you are right here. The fight should have been stopped and it should have been a win for Miranda.

I truely believe AA wanted to fight Pavlik in the US. Sauerland should have the confidence in him by now.
On the other hand Team Pavlik didn´t seem to really be keen on fighting AA. I´m not saying Pavlik is scared, but his handlers are a bit cautious. I hope Pavlik can deliever some good performences in 2010 and can get back on track.

Abraham came to America and stopped Miranda. Miranda should have been disq. in the first fight, but Abraham still won.

For what? what happend in the first 4 rounds, that would have justified a DQ?
Well it doesn´t matter anymore. In my opinion AA fought a better fight than Miranda even after his jaw was smashed and he showed great heart and all, but it should have been a loss for AA.

Blatantly Headbutting a man fighting with a broken jaw AFTER round 4, broken jaw was from a legitimate punch. Miranda fought dirty and a disqualification could have been in order with the headbutting and low blows.
