Does anyone know anything about this form of fighting it goes by many different names like jailhouse rock or 52 blocks ? I read that it was developed in prisons in the united states and that every penitentiary has its own unique variant

This doesn't belong here either but we'll wait for a General mod to move it. Dirty boxing is punching to the back of the head, using the elbows, low blows, head butting in close, that sort of thing. If you want to romanticise jail life go to some kiddie forum this is a boxing forum.
Well John Ruiz has got to be one of the champs of it. Although Mike Tyson did a good job of it when he bit Holyfield twice.
Not to mention Holyfield himself when he headbutted the **** out of Tyson, and most of his opponents for that matter.
It's a mixture of all the things boxers aren't supposed to do but do it anyway. Think Leonards/Hattons holding and hitting, Hopkins hitting the hips, Tyson/Marciano landing with elbows that should have been punches, Holyfields headbutts, Mayweathers use of his forearm etc etc
I've noticed one move that I've only seen in 52 blocks used by some MMA fighters (maybe other disciplines use that, but I haven't seen it). You bring your hand to your ear (not actually touching or cupping), elbow pointed forward & pivot your body to block a hook or jab. The other hand is usually palm out & just inside that.
