    Lots and lots of sparring?

Pick as many bar fights as you can?

Afterall, they all count as practice.

I once saw a former pro fighter spar a guy who had just started sparring and you could easily see who was better at judging distance.

The more experienced boxer would barely move when he slipped punches but he would get the guy to miss entirely. If I remember correctly, the noob only landed one clean punch in three rounds. It was also my first time watching someone land body punches at will. It was incredible to watch!
