Pay attention to Amatuer boxing anymore?
If so who do you have your eye on?
    2012 hopefuls?
Who would you like to see as a pro?

By and large, they don't know WTF they're talking about. Gary Russell is a beast though, good avatar. You from MD?

I go to amateur bouts whenever I can. But one amateur who I'm 99% certain is going to the Olympics is Mary Spencer, from here in Ontario.

Irish 64kg champion Philip Sutcliffe from here in Dublin has the style and power to be a good pro backed up by around 300 amatuer fights. Was beaten in the 1st round of the World Championships in Italy. Beat Olympian John Joe Joyce in National final by stunning KO in upset of the year having been beaten by him twice before, then beat him again 21-6(i think) in the box offs for the Worlds.

John Joe Nevin for an 54kg Olympic Gold in 2012.
I wouldve loved to see Raushee Warren go pro.
I also think 51kg Conor Aherne from Dublin has a good style for the pros but doubt we'll see him turn.
