that the phrase "kissed the canvas" might be the most annoying phrase that is perpetually used on this forum?
BTW, I've seen "kissed the canvas" twice in 9 months. Your 300 posts in a years time is confusing things.
aren't virtually all the terms being described as overused, simply used because they are part of a specified vocabulary that describes events and trends and what not in boxing that couldn't really be expressed any other way? hence their frequent appearance. i get kissed the canvas, i just haven't seen that one very often in the relatively short time i have been a member of these boards. but over-hyped or overrated and expressions referring to throwing punches--either deliberately or because of shoddy balance--off the back foot...those seem like terms that have a legitimate place in boxing discussions.
hmm says... true sweetscientist.... we're just pointing them out. My short stay here so far... I can't go without one day/ every other day without seeing someone making a thread or post with such phrases or terms....and use them for not so great discussions.
