I'm just wondering, all of a sudden people are saying that the speed of Pacman/Floyd would destroy Cotto et al. But if memory serves me correctly, Was Duran Faster that Leonard? Or was Norton and Frazier faster than Ali ? I mean this isn't football (TD), basketball(lay-up), baseball (base-to-base) where there are immediate goals and it ends there. Boxing is a sport that will test men's wills. Isn't it more than just speed ? Agree or not ?

it's more than just speed. the thing is, if you have speed and you know how to use it, it can make you a whole lot better in many other areas. this is why pac is so god damn dangerous. he and roach train constantly in order to improve his speed and improve other dimensions of his game around his main physical asset.

Haters are saying this since Cotto debut, they sat that against, Mosley, Mallignaggi, Judah, dam even against Quintana. Those haters are the same that says Gomez, Mosley, Clottey where bigger than Cotto, and Cotto will lose for that. Cotto have more problems with bigger guys than with faster guys.

Yes speed kills, but it also drains a lot of energy when you use it and it can be neutralized by well timed punches, like jabs. ala Forrest vs Mosley,

Speed on its own isn't enough, but it sure can be important.
