Doherty vs Jones

Good fight...

 

Bloody good fight... Doherty wins on points but I reckon it was close.

 

That was a really good scrap. Doherty looked good early on but seemed to tire. Jones looked better when he started to take a few risks and throw some combinations.

 

Doherty will get destroyed if he steps up a level. He thinks he has Naseem reflexes but he's a fatty.

 

Juust heard Bunce saying that ridiculous things were being said - what were they, I missed the start of his comments???

 

Doherty's willingness to put punches together won it really.

 

Bunce said Jones's fans were being racist, but Doherty is white and Welsh as well so not sure what he is on about. :huh

 

Get over it. Doherty knows he's no world beater but can be a big player on the domestic scene.

 

Doherty's a pikey.

Or "a member of the travelling community" as Rawling put it :smile - to be nice and PC

 

Something about Doherty being a jipo?

 

And how is that ridiculous lack of defence going to help him? He can throw some combinations but likes eating fists too much.

 

Yep, really good fight, I'd like to see Doherty with a bit more power and he has great promise.

 

A bigger puncher would have had him in some trouble in the last 3 rounds. he possibly got a bit complacent but silly to leave his hands so low when his reflexes aren't fantastic.

Yeah, just sussed that now when I heard Doherty being interveiwed. Never heard him speak before.
