Every time I head his name mentioned, I think of how awesome and utterly ruthless Curry looked against poor Milton McCrory and how certain everyone was that he would be dominant for many, many years. At that point, I'd have taken him against Leonard in his prime, I was so influenced. He was that frighteningly good. After the Honeyghan loss and dumping Dave Gorman, Curry looked like a guy whose wife just left him. He seemed like he lost his confidence and his physical strength and was never close to the same fighter. Maybe the weight drain just sucked the life out of him or maybe it was mental or a lifestyle issue. It's really hard to expplain. All I know is that he had a killer instinct and intense determination until he went overseas and he didn't come back the same guy.
