He got sparked out by MaCallum but there isn't a welter weight since that would have beaten MaCallum.

The Muffin man loss was also one of the biggest upsets in history.

It be like Floyd losing to Brook

His career flamed out rather quickly and he lacks the overall achievement/longevity to be an ATG, but he was one hell of a welterweight during his peak.

Quick hands, powerful, technically sound. The left hook he used that basically ended the McCrory fight was one of the best hooks you'll ever see. Very short and quick and powerful. It wasn't like McCrory was being sloppy in that sequence (like Curry was when McCallum took him out). McCrory simply threw a jab and Curry countered it as well as you can counter a jab.

Yes without hesitation Don was an incredible boxer. His trainer ,throughout his whole career from Pee Wee GG to World championships , Paul Reyes always maintained Don had radar He knew the punch was coming before his opponent threw it. It seemed to break his heart when Leonard backstabbed him. Leonard was supposedly retired & acting as Don's ADVISOR!! Don wanted to move up & challenge Marvin Hagler but Leonard talked him out of it. Why? Because the snake was already negociating a Hagler fight for himself. The rest is history Don never really seemed the same after being backstabbed by someone he thought was a friend
Yes Don was an incredible boxer & was a nice guy too, Definitely an ATG
