would shadow boxing with dumbells increase actual hand speed?its obvious it increases power, but im curious if it increases hand speed.I do alot of drills involving boxing with dumbells around 4 or 3 lbs.

One thing it certainly increases is the chance of being injured.

They have these things called boxing gloves that you put on your hands and were meant to be punched with.

Using rubber tubing for punch resistance is way better than using dumbells.

The actual action of stopping the dumbells' momentum is what causes injuries to the shoulders. With rubber tubing, since the resistance increases at the end of the punch due to the stretching of the tubing, it doesn't over work the antagonist muscles that put the breaks on the punch.
