Duran is a naturally the bigger man with heavier 1 punch power. Nobody stops prime Chavez, this would be a war, a close but clear points win for Duran. This has potential to be the greatest mythical fight of all time IMO, wish we could see it happen.

duran got dropped and beat at lightweight by dejesus, chapo rosario could knock a wall down but chavez mowed him down. chavez would win at lightweight and maybe light welter, at welter duran would have won easy.
Duran would win a wide PTS decision. One of the few better in-fighters than Chavez, one of the few guys better equipped at fighting with his head in your chest. I think Chavez would get confused as fighting a better version of himself and would consitently get beat to the punch. Chavez would be a mess by the time he left, but unwobbled and only losing via PTS. He would have his moments, but what a fight it would be! Shoulder to shoulder, subtle movement and slipping of punches by both, and even the most subtle of punches inflicting damage on the other guy. Could be the greatest mythical matchup of all time. My favourite is still Eder Jofre vs. Wilfredo Gomez at 122!
This would be the real fight of the millenium. I see this going down like JLC vs Chico I without the KD or KO. Duran by a 1 point split decision.
