I had Duran winning this fight, and frankly, I didn't think it was all that close. Duran hurt Sims like 4 or 5 times, while Sims didn't really hurt Duran. How did you score this fight?

I think Duran did enough to win which is remarkable when you think That he was a light weight and simms was a good fighter at middle weight.haven't seen this fight for years will have to Watch it again.

I had forgotten Robbie Sims even existed until I saw this thread.Lol

Must have been pretty frustrating for him being a boxer in the same division where the undisputed champion is your own brother whose name was Marvin Hagler. Couldn't have been easy for him knowing he was never going to be as good as Marvin and even if he was, was never likely to ever get a title shot.

It was close because Duran was gassed after a few rounds, you just didn't know what shape he'd be in around this time

When Benn stopped sims in, I think it was the eight round, I can remember sims protesting the stoppage. Hagler was at his side, saying take it like a man, accept it. Which kind of put Marvin even further up in my respect for him.

Duran won a close decision in my opinion.
