How often has this one been done?

This would've been another bashfest. Valero has the power, whereas Duran has the skills...which would most likely see him to a points verdict.

It's like watching Hervé Villechaize on a bender, trying to sodomize Wilt Chamberlain with the aid of a rickety ladder. You know nothing much will come of it, but you might as well watch.

LOL, oh come on, Valero would be destroyed. And unlike Lampkin, Duran, in shape or not, may of ended up putting Edwin in the morgue...

A lot more competitive if we are talking Panama vs Venezuela, would of been young 126lbs Duran of the late 60s, verses prime Antonio Esparragoza.

I think you're selling Tattoo a little short here.

If I was Wilt, I'd be concerned if Hervé was hell-BENT on ANALysing me.

    Points victory?:lol::lol::lol::lol:

    I hope you're trolling.

Duran would have saved Valero the trouble of killing himself.

Duran wastes him without even breaking a sweat.

I don't know. Valero had this weird facial hair thing going on. although sometimes Duran would wear these crazy pencil muttonchops. But in terms of a boxing match there's probably less indecision. The moment tee guy with the Tatoo got off de plane boss, he'd be Stilted Philly style.

Horrific mismatch. Duran would have Valero hanging over the ropes and would go in for the kill in the mid rounds and Valero would choke.

    Probably.

But we'll never know as no one came close to causing Valero any problems.

Valero was talented, but he showed NOTHING to suggest he ever be great, let alone an all time great, LET ALONE one of the top 5 fighters to ever live, as Duran was.

There are MANY MANY fighters through the history of 130-135 who would have **** on Valero.

    This part is completely false.

    27-0, 27 KOs.

That's statistically the best record of any champion, ever.

He was near the beginning of his career and had not yet faced the best of his era, but he did enough to render this statement patently false:

"...but he showed NOTHING to suggest he ever be great,"

Again, while probably true, we will never know.

Watch the Mosquera fight. Valero looked a ragged piece of **** and was dropped.

Champion? Sorry, remind me when he beat the no.1 in his division?

Valero was a two weight contender and your standards are abysmally low.

De Marco gave him all kinds of problems also.

I think he only ever faced two ranked opponents in his career. He was never close to being the number 1 fighter in any division, despite being a huge fan of his at the time.
