Dzinziruk's chances this weekend?

Dzinziruk is no joke whatsoever, as you say he's got one of the best jabs in boxing at present and is fundamentally very sound like most of the Eastern Europeans coming through around this weight. I give him a pretty decent chance this weekend but totally agree that Sergio's flashier, unorthodoz style will be more judge friendly, especially with him being the new star and cash cow in town. I don't think he'll be too basic to deal with it as such, this will be a very, very close fight but i'd expect Martinez to just about win a decision.

 

Martinez will cause him nightmares then finish of mid rounds 6-8.

 

Dzinziruk wins this one and finally will get some respect in the States.
Hes a better fighter and his jab will have no trouble landing on Martinez who hasnt really got much of a defence.

Quality rather than Quantity mate

Nah i'm going to Miami/Vegas next month so i've been doing ridiculous amounts of overtime. Plus my laptop caught something off Mark Fowler.

I think he'll make it competitive albeit a bit boring and lose a fairly close decision. 116-112. Something along those lines. I just can't see fireworks in this one but who knows, he may adapt his style somewhat to give him an edge over Martinez.

 

Both guys, it must be remembered, are natural light-middleweights and on the night there is every chance that Dzinziruk will come in heavier.

I also think that Dzinziruk is too clasy to lose a boxing match against Martinez and, as a consequence, he, the Argentine, must try and turn it into a close quaters fight.

I don't think Martinez can do this and Dzinziruk wins a wide points decision.

 

I think Sergio will get the job done just..but this is a really tough test..

I think Martienz will win easy. Dzinziruk has fight nobody, his boxingis based on straight punches, it's true that he has a good jab, but nothing else, his career took place entierly in Germany (last fights were in USA), and he has been overprotected by Universum, like many others German based boxers. If Sergio wants to acelearte the actions, he'll win by TKO,i'm sure. This fight has no interest, HBO wanted this fight, but i think that Martinez is much better than the ukranian. Maravilla must unificate middleweight titles, but i don't think that Sylvester or Pirog were interested in lose their titles.

 

He beat Daniel Santos who came into that fight having beaten Antonio Margarito.Dzinziruks also beaten Joel Julio and Lukas Konecny who are both good fighters.
Take into account that before the Kermit Cintron fight,Martinez had fought nobodies his entire career apart from the one time he stepped up(Against Antonio Margarito)and was stopped in 7 rounds.
Only a few years ago,Martinez was taking part in 4 and 6 rounders and it wasnt until he got a chance to shine against Paul Williams that he proved he was a very good fighter.Sergiy Dzinziruk will prove how good he is on Saturday at Martinez expense:good

 

It's pretty unfortunate that when Dzinziruk has finally got a higher profile fight its against Martinez. All wrong for him I'm afraid. I'm an admirer of Dzinziruk's abilities but I don't see a great chance for him here, he's going to struggle to get off with his jab and everything else comes off that.

Martinez has the longer reach in fact, which I think will be a key component in what will lead to his victory. Dzinziruk's main weapon is his jab, but how often can he land it on a guy like Martinez? Sure, it's accurate against stationary opposition, or come forward opponents, but Martinez is neither of those, and if Dzinziruk can't get his jab working, he won't get anything working. I'll go with a decision though, I think it'll be pretty messy, with Dzin unable to get his straight shots to land but at the same time making sure Martinez can't get much of a rhythm going.

 

Sergei will genuinly trouble Martinez IMO. Martinez, who has fought about five Worlds against top class opposition, is just assumed to win.

I think he will, but this well could be his hardest fight. Stylistically.
