he's fighting in Newcastle in april, and assuming he gets through KJ then chambers may be a realistic prospect for that card,
Chambers must be wondering what he's doing with his career at this point. A world class heavyweight living above a gym, fighting on un-televised undercards and doing a bit of punditry work to make ends meet.
Only thing is, he's getting top quality regular sparring. But apart from that, you do have to wonder yeah. He needs to be back involved in decent fights.
What other choice does Eddie have? With Peter Fury he has someone who is managing him as well as training. He has had a few bouts this year which he would otherwise not have had. He was even paid more for some of those fights than other higher profile fights he has had. Regardless of who he is working with the same name fighters will still avoid him. Recently some prospect in America called him out, they sent a contract and the prospect changed his mind and quickly had a fight organised against a journeyman. He can only fight people who are willing to fight him. Eventually he will force his way up the rankings as others have done fighting journeymen.
It's a shame that Chambers is in the "who needs him club". He needs to fight someone ranked in the top 15 (Takam?) to get his career back on track. On the plus side he is a very good pundit so that avenue is always open to him.
