I think its good that Eddy shows a bit of passion, the rest of the promoters don't seem to give a **** as long as their fighters win and they can carry on cashing in.

    IBF Rules:

    2. If any cornerperson stands on the apron or enters the ring during a round, the referee shall disqualify the boxer.

Eddie isn't a corner person so it would never be a disqualification anyway! Can't believe people are moaning about him celebrating, if I was close enough to the ring I would have been in there too!!

Didn't think he was that bad, to be honest. Bute was holding, but it wasn't to a Dirrell degree; Bute had actually taken punishment. As he was the champ I'm not averse to the ref giving Bute a little leeway, rather than have Bute moan afterwards that he was robbed by the ref. Likewise point deductions; I'd rather not see them unless absolutely necessary. If the fight had gone on four more rounds with Bute still holding on instead of fighting back, then sure, take points away. Where the ref DID really **** up was waving like the fight was over, THEN starting a count. Turns out all this is academic though, 'cause Bute couldn't even stand up straight.

On a side note; I was surprised by his much bigger than Froch Bute looked.

At the time I took it the ref had stopped the fight when he waved his hands in the air. Bute's head was rolling around on his shoulders like a rag dolls at that stage. Bute took a couple of shots too many when he was out on his feet.

Watching Bute being walked backed to his corner it was clear he was in no fit state to walk on his own never mind be able to fight on.

    The ref caused the problem.

Hearn showed his inexperience and won't be so hasty in the future.

    No harm done, move on.

Promotors don't have friends, Eddie again is showing his greenness. He's got classic rich kid syndrome. He'll learn and he'll end up becoming as hard as stone.

By doing that you're bringing the sport into disrepute.

See Mayweather - Judah, I think it was...

Yep, I would agree with the Hearn looking stupid line if it was just him who thought that the ref had stopped the fight but everyone thought that the fight was over. I'd blame the ref's incompetence more than Hearn.

His facial expression as he was running over to Froch was hilarious though.

People must really not talk about someone entering the ring and it should have been a DQ. The ref waved it off. The only discussion should be how ****ing stupid the ref is and how he needs to be banned until he learns how to ref.

Don't think we can really compare a full on brawl in the ring between corners to Eddie celebrating in the ring when everyone thought it was waved off. The Judah fight didn't end up DQ either, what was it a fine and a ban for a couple of people?

    This.

It's rare you see a promoter close to his fighters but Eddie's young himself and he's loving it. He gets a lot of praise for no reason at times but he's done great for Carl getting him on Sky and back home for a world title fight against Homeboy Bute shows how much he's willing to help Carl. Obviously he gains from it on certain levels but last night him running into ring was a sign of emotion.

Best bit was when he turned saw ref counting and thought 's***' and ducked out of ring :rofl.
