You are right, Floyd does not look to be hurt by the late punches. He even escorts Machen halfway across the ring and pats him on the back as if to say that he understands it was accidental. Woller
LOL, you've gotta love my hero, how many other fighters would even do that? Can you imagine a career Patterson if he had always fought instead with a 'search & destroy' chip on his shoulder mind-set? (of course the downside to that is we wouldn't have loved him nearly as much)
It seems my memory of that barrage is a little hazy then, although I guess after a few glasses of bushmills whiskey it shouldn`t be all that surprising. Nevertheless Floyd was clearly out on his feet at one point albeit briefly during that barrage, but he recovered quickly however and did look to be on steady legs afterwards.
That loss screwed his whole career. It cost him a title shot, and somehow it just seemed to define the whole rest of his career. No matter what he did, he just couldn't get back his former ranking and reputation. He also had mental problems that put him out of action a few times.
Woller, If you read this send me an e-mail, I have some things to disscuss with you and something to send you as well.
