Harry Levene was trying to make a fight between my dad and Jofre for London when Harada sprung the upset.

I had many a top discussion about Jofre back in the day with Vic, Flea, Al Francis, Mante, sweet scientist Tec. Happy days.
Great, great fighter; one of the best available on film. More or less immaculate other than being a slowish starter and not having notable hand speed. There's a bit in the 4th round of the first Harada fight where Harada really buzzes him (after an already dominant start) and Jofre just unloads on Harada from nowhere and from all kinds of angles with hooks, straight shots and inverted bolo punches. Really hurts Harada back and sends him reeling all over. There's a similar moment in the first Medel fight where Jose really hurts him and breaks his nose I think. Jofre is under all sorts of heavy fire (from one of the divisions atg punchers I might add) but lands an absolutely pinpoint left hook from nowhere square on Medels jaw that utterly knocks all the fight out of him. Goes on to ko Medel in the tenth in an absolute classic.
