I havent posted in awhile... figured some of you may have wondered what has happened with Pantera since his disappointing loss to Andre Ward.

As demanded by his fans for a long time now, Miranda finally made a move and fired Jose Bonilla as his trainer. He relocated to California and has been training with Joe Goossen for about 2 months. I have heard some great feedback from Joe and he has said Edison has the talent to be a champion, he has just been missing some key ingredients that Joe beleives he can fix. Time will tell if Joe (or anyone) has what it takes to get Pantera a win in a big fight.

I am hearing a fight should be announced soon, probably with a late October date. With the help with Joe Goossen, hopefully we will see a refined Miranda. Ill be pulling for him. He has his limitations, but I still beleive he will find his way to win a title one of these days (hell, if Pascal can do it, why not Miranda? :D).

    Good luck to you Pantera!

Pascal did it cause he's a pure boxer while Miranda is basically not.

if he puts his mind to it he can definately do it. I've never been a fan but if he straightens out his punches and works on his handspeed (plyometrics or something i guess) he can win some sort of title. A guy like Stieglitz would be an easy mark if he really does improve

Sweet. Is he staying at 168? Why announce this so late in the day? I should have been in bed by now.

Seriously, he just lost his cool/focus big time in the Ward fight. Just chucked the fundamentals completely. I hope the change of scene does him well....:thumbsup

Edison Miranda is of now a journey man... Or a gatekeeper to up and commers... He is done at the world-scene.

My word. Please stop. Pascal is ten times the boxer Miranda is. Miranda will never win a world title.

Wrong coach too, I was never impressed with the Goosens. Nazim, Roach or Jeff Mayweather would have been better choices.

Jeff Mayweather? I don't think Jeff would help Miranda.

I like Goossen, but signing with Roach or Steward would have been better.

Happy to hear he picked up Goosen, im a fan of him as a trainer....

Im a Miranda fan till the end..... the haters can **** off. I hope he can make the necissary adjustments and become a more complete fighter, and would like to see him make some noise again.
