I watched Benn v McClellan live and many times since and although enthralling it was pub carpark fighting rather than bivol elite boxing

    Calzaghe v Lacey and Kessler.

At the time they were both top tier fighters.

Froch v Bute at the time as some people had Bute as the best 168 fighter in the world.

Froch v Kessler was a top top fight as well.

Is a top top fight higher than a top fight? I thought top was the highest. Are there top top top fights?

Personally wouldn't have any of these in the top tier category, especially Froch and Bute. Bute was nowhere near as good as he was sold to the public as. The first Andrade match was all we needed to see to know that.

Calzaghe v Kessler, two great tactical fighters, one just had that extra gear the other couldn’t reach. good enough to get Manny Steward out of his seat and raving about it.

The two Chris Eubank vs Michael Watson fights were absolute top quality.

Campbell was quality, it’s a shame how much harder some people get it compared to others. He really did it the hard way. Promoted terribly because he was not one of his faves like Froch, Bellew, Crolla who all over achieved probably thanks to Ed. So much so he was willing to make losses on events. Don’t get me wrong I like Crolla but how on earth can you have them two lads at the same weight and let Crolla get the world title.

Very unlucky to have his dad die in the run up to Linares as well, head must have been battered. Still gave it a great go and had he not suffered the knock down. Who knows?

My head nearly went through the ceiling when he dropped that super quick, super bell end Mexican.
