Sergio getting knocked down once by a cruiserweight who uses PEDS does not leave sour taste in any way, shape, or form. Especially with Sergio schooling his ass.

i'm a sergio fan more than a chavez fan, but as good as he looked he got his pants pulled down right before his royal coronation.

I want to feel great for him but i dont, if chavez sucks so bad (which he is obviously very limited) that last minute should have never happened.

martinez showed a warrior's heart by not holding for deal life like what amir khan would do....he still stood in the pocket and fires off combination....

the 12th round put a dent on an otherwise flawless performance...

    embarassed??...No

and i dont like sergio...pbf would tax that ass...if floyd has the balls to sign though...

Can't wait for Jr's next fight.
I'll see Sergio @ Ralph's buying the "good" meat now.
& the brand name cereal, No more Ralph's brand Maravilla!

    You did it.

If you're around 165, try letting a guy who's close to 190 lean on you all night and see how you feel by the 12th round. Junior's weight cheating got him that knockdown. And even then it took Sergio getting sloppy. And even THEN he couldn't get it done. Sergio finished the fight punching, keeping Chavez off him. Zero embarrassment on Sergio's part. It's embarrassing that Chavez ever held that belt.

Yea I'm sure he was, but considering he was a smaller, older fighter vs a lightheavy-cruiser in his prime and he weathered Jr's best punch in his life plus it was a punch Sergio didnt see coming its unlikely Sergio will take him for granted in a rematch. Sergio was humiliating Jr for 11 rounds I think he'll knock him out in the next one. One helluva punch, but lucky punch nonetheless.

he couldve run away or hold, but he fought instead of bitching around, no shame for amrtinez fighting like a true warrior and getin knocked down. great fight.

Kind of similar to Bute-Andrade but not as bad for Martinez.

you're basically saying his opponent was severely weight drained.

It's more embarrasing that Chavez had more than 2 minutes to knock out a worn down Martinez and couldn't get it done.

Got caught once.... So what? We knew the Chavez Jr had two hands. Not shame at all. He got up and won the fight
