    this ^^^

Chavez needs to learn from this and move on. Up to 168 at least.

If they rematch Sergio should demand some sort of re-hydration concession.

Would rather see PBF vs Martinez @ 154 next.

    wtf:huh

Martinez, a class act and testimate to this great sport, uncharacteristically talks **** in the pre-fight build up....something to do with frustrations over his title changing hands rather curiously...

Dominates in masterful form for 11 rounds coming forward, on the back foot, from the outside and on the inside using Chavez's own game.....comes out in the 12th and instead of playing it safe and dancing to victory he decides to go for the cherry on top....Chavez lands 4-5 powerful shots and Martinez takes a seat...possibly effing up his knee...he gets up and rather than hold on using a broken power hand, Sexy fights fire with fire and goes toe to toe with the Mexican monster and re-establishes his dominance before the bell sounds....

if you feel embarrassed for Martinez, you're doing it wrong

It wasn't tiredness. Sergio's leg slipped, or buckled, as he backed up to plant his left foot for a punch. This caused him to lose balance and leave his head exposed for a second, and Chavez was able to capitalized with 2 quick left hooks.

Someone wrote elsewhere that Sergio was fighting with a bad knee, so that's probably why it happened.

Come on HR. The only thing embarrassing is finding little bits of excuses not to acknowledge Jr. looked pathetic last night.
You know anything can happen in boxing. Martinez was caught. Simple. Not even due to Chavez' skills, but because of Maravilla's own carelessness.
Give the guy his props and move on.
It's cool to support your fighter to the end, but beyond that is just fantasy.

    It's not embarrassing.

If anything it's the complete opposite. He got hit, it's boxing and it happens. He was floored, badly hurt, but he got back on his feet and kept FIGHTING.

Neither guy really has anything to be embarrassed about. Maybe Jr. does for his performance in the first 11 rounds, but he was getting beat. He didn't give up, and in the last round he came alive and learned a lot about himself and it's going to really add confidence and help him in the future.

    Both guys deserves props.

these Chavez fans are little bitches just like JR....

if martinez had just jumped on his bike ran that whole 12th round right now you would be seeing threads about how "Martinez was scared to fight the 12th and just ran", but the reality of this is that these Chav fans they want to find an excuse to why their man lost

try as they might their boy got beat the hell up and looked like a fool out there... good job chavez for winning half a round good job kid.. now hit the showers your done

im glad chavez took a beating, just pissed he has something to hang his hat on...as I imagine Sergio is after ridiculing him for the past 2 years, no one wants to flop around on the ground and wobble their way to a career defining victory....

after the body of work it took him to get there sergio owed himself more than that

evn though he'll probably make more money bcause it happened.
