Ive just completed duran and arguello books and marcel is mentioned obviously as he fought both of them. Ive never seen him fight, how good was he and what of his fights would you recommend? Thanks

One of the greatest featherweights of all time. Do not listen to the hatchet job done on him in the Arguello book, it's biased tosh. Instead, watch the fights I've uploaded of him on youtube Vs Shibata, Gomez and Arguello and you'll see one of the most skilled 9 stone fighters of all time.
I think that he retired at the height of his career to breed avocados. The question is not merely who is the best boxer in the history of Panama but who was the most capable of making a decent guacamole. And v while Duran might be one, his guac was always too creamy.
