It's for 2010 already?? The award for 10 comes in July? Weird.

 

I think it's considered the year since the last ESPY cause they involved the world cup, the other sport seasons that extended over the year.

 

The second Floyd opens his mouth about this reward, he is going to eat a can full of worms since he likes to disregard the FOTD award.

 

Did he say anything in 07 and 08?

dude but even the JMM fight was in may of last year, assuming the ESPY's were handed out around the same time as last year. That's still just one fight, no fighter with that level of activity should be eligible for an award like this(that goes for Pac too)

i think somehow i mentally switched the mosley and marquez dates

But still, not that great of a year for FMJ either way.

I think it's just 2010, that's why it's not a Televised award. Which I think the Mayweather-Mosley was the biggest fight/victory of the year so far. Thus Mayweather gets it.

 

I think the awards are based on the time between the shows. Otherwise Federer isn't winning best tennis player if it's just for 2010.
