Don't think this had previously been confirmed?

Good fight for Eubank? Testing? Not seen much of Carruthers, know he has had a few tough fights and some decent wins.

Yeah a very decent fight for him on paper. All these early fights should be able to be used as a yardstick of a prospect's development and that should happen with Carruthers. Hopefully, with it being on terrestrial it'll be an entertaining fight to watch

Terry Carruthers was with Nobby Nobbs early in his career, and never really took the sport seriously. Would take late notice fights, against heavier, hometown lads. He is now under Jon Pegg, and has been for a while where he has been steadily improving. He is very crafty, and can box very well when he wants too.

I was surprised when Joe Selkirk got rid of him so quickly. If Eubank pulls a similar result he will show himself to be a serious prospect. But make no mistake about it, Terry has a very real chance of pulling out a result and turning over the young upstart Saturday night.

    I'll be watching with interest.

A very testing fight and I like how he may not be fighting elite but he is not fighting weak fighters. He is fighting a very decent fighter who can cause even the best of the british fighters a problem. Very good stepping stone

To be fair I wouldnt be expecting him to be fighting elite but he seems to be progressing at a good pace which is good ,shouldnt be too long before he's mixing it up at British title level.

Its old school matchmaking. He will learn so much more this way.

Wouldn't it be good if we got to the stage where we had British champions that maybe had a couple losses but were rounded enough to travel across the Atlantic and school the yanks.
