Kessler on points. no knockdowns or knock outs either both have solid chins. Kessler more technically rounded.
So difficult to make a case for Kessler, as much as we want to. He's too rythmic. Eubank was a rythm-breaker if there ever was one. Kessler would really struggle with the pace-changing and direction-changing of Eubank's movement - he can only punch when balanced.
Eubank was a very very very awkard fighter, immense punch resistant, immense physical strength, hits hard, very very athletic, and has a great boxing brain. Kessler does nothing really great, he just does everything good. And this is not good enough, to beat a prime Chris Eubank. Whats Kessler going to do...? out box Eubank..? With his good jab..? his good combinations..? his good right hand..? Whats he going to do..? out speed Chris Eubank..? No Not good enough. Chris Eubank in the history of his career, was only beaten by boarderlone boxing extermists. Joe Calzaghe was absolutely mental, and had a work rate off the charts. He was totally livid... Steve Collins fought like a complete mad man, because pretty much like when Hagler fought Hearns............"It was the only way he could stand with a chance to beat Chris Eubank". Kessler is just a mild, good fighter in every department. This is not good enough to beat Chris Eubank. "The only way kessler beats Chris Eubank is by fighting like Steve Collins, adopt the same kind of tatics" But he will end up, being sparked out or broken down.
Kessler is a better boxer and too busy. He also seems very tough so the Eubank comeback is hard to imagine.
Nigel Benn was busy..? one of the most devastating middleweights of all-time. Michael Watson was busy..? Kesslers **** mate. He's just a average good fighter in every department......."Does nothing nothing, great". Calzaghe was past his best when he beat him, and still beat him.
Serious, Eubank is just too physically strong for Kessler. Too awkard, look how much of a complete and utter ****** Kessler looked against Ward. Ward can't even punch, Chris Eubank hits way harder than Andre Ward. Like I've stated before, the only way Kessler wins is by fighting like a complete lunatic. "Which will end up getting him sparked out" Chris Eubank was probably on the top -3 toughest MiddleWeight, Supermiddle Weights of the past 20 years. And probably up there with Evander of the toughest fighters of the 90's.......... If you wanna talk about Kessler being tough.........pathetic.
Benn was busy but in his face and was winning on the score cards and if not for a point deduction would have won the rematch. Watson was busy and arguably won the first fight and beat Eubank all over the shop in the second fight. Benn and Watson being busy fighters just shows Eubanks weaknesses. They were both in his face where as Kessler would box more. Eubank never really had very good stamina. He was tough but not in impeccable condition. Might be down to the fact he drained himself to make weight rather than following a strict diet/training regime. Calzaghe wasn't past his best when he beat Kessler. He was still firing on all cylinders.
